In majority of
the cases, Indian party wear include sarees, lehenga cholis, and silk skirts
for teenagers and kids. Though all these dress varieties have a basic
structure, little modifications when done here and there can really add a lot
of value to your traditional dress making it unique and admirable. Saree
blouses can be made interesting by making them backless or by mixing vibrant
shades of different material or with patch work, zardoshi, beads or karchob
work. The neck designs can themselves be designed suiting your style and
imagination. It is not necessary that the neck line that you wear should be
symmetrical. Different necklines can be blended well with artistic hand work to
make your blouse grand and different.
Your lehenga
choli can also be made different by going for a princess line choli or blouse with
heavy work. Alternatively, the blouse can be kept simple and more attention can
be paid to the dhupatta and the skirt. The skirt or the lehenga can be stitched
as a panel worked skirt or can even be stitched as a layered skirt. Silk,
banaras, net, satin, silk cotton, etc. are few types of materials that can be
used for lehengas. Lehengas can be A-line full of flares or can be a fishtail
skirt too. The shape and style of the skirt can be decided based on your
comfort and taste. The blouse can be stitched with a wide neckline giving
enough space for the jewelry. You can also stitch the blouse as a halter neck
blouse adding a westernized twist to your traditional wear. Traditional silk
skirts for kids or for half saree can also be stitched similarly.
